“Jump Start” Training
- FREE program to Y members and non-members
- Registration includes VIRTUAL training sessions, assigned volunteer, encouragement and camaraderie!

This seven week program is designed for those beginners interested in training for the goal of completing a 5K or the Evansville Half Marathon or Race Day 8K and needing assistance increasing mileage to prepare for the “Team 13” program.
NEW FOR 2020! Jump Start training will be VIRTUAL. Volunteers will lead small groups virtually in the 7 week training program. They will be contacting you to help you through your training and provide accountability. Your volunteer coach, YMCA staff and your group will support you in your personal goals.

“Team 13” Half Marathon Training
Thousands of people have worked with volunteer trainers in this program to train for and complete the Evansville Half Marathon. This training is designed to help individuals at all fitness levels train for the half marathon. This is your “last chance” to begin a training program for the October race.
A schedule of mileage and locations will be provided upon registration. Registration fee includes a t-shirt to the first 600 registrants, door prizes, access to email updates, a special race number identifying you as a training participant and much more!
